Got Kids?
Imagine for one terrifying moment that you are at a large crowded place like an amusement park, or an air show. Imagine that you just turned around in the crowd and your child is missing. Quick, what was s/he wearing? How recent is the picture in your wallet? Quick, seconds count! What was your child wearing when s/he left for school this morning? Times up! How'd you do?
In a world filled with digital cameras and phone cams there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to answer that question quickly and with confidence. And there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to provide the people that are going to help you find your child with a photo of exactly what your child looks like today; wearing the clothes that they were wearing when they first disappeared into the crowd.
When I travel into a crowded place with my family, the first thing I do is snap a quick picture of my daughter with my phone cam. That way, if the unthinkable does happen, I won't have to think. I can email the picture right out of my phone to the security office and provide them with an up to the minute description of my daughter - right down to the way her hair was combed.
